Primary Function:

The General Manager – Highland Heights, reporting to the Franchise Partner and/or Area Manager, has the primary objective to maximize organizational growth and profitability through exceptional leadership, a passion for people, operational excellence and continuous improvement and respect for all. This role is ultimately accountable for the performance of the park that he/she leads. As a member of Sky Zone’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the incumbent will be instrumental in:

1. Guiding and directing team members at the park location in delivering on the four cornerstones of Sky Zone Cleveland success: - Safety In All That We Do - Exceptional Guest Experiences - Superior Financial Performance - Preferred Employer by Our Team Members and the Community

2. Establishing a culture that places a priority on an exceptional guest experience (with meaningful delegation to and partnership with the Guest and Team Member Experience Manager and Events Manager). - Ensures that team members clearly understand the importance of delighting the customer. - Identifies and ensures execution of ongoing training requirements for all appropriate team members. - Routinely evaluates actual team member performance against expectations/training, recognizes exceptional performance, identifies gaps and provides feedback and coaching to team members (including other members of the management team). - Analyzes guest feedback (via SMG and other feedback vehicles) to identify trends and provides guidance to GMs on areas of excellence and areas for focused improvement.

3. Creating and sustaining processes that consistently deliver operational excellence (with meaningful delegation to and partnership with the Operations Manager). - Works closely with Franchisor, Franchise Partners, COO, Sky Zone Cleveland Team Members, Guests, Suppliers and independent experts, as needed, to identify, communicate and ensure implementation of “best in class” processes in all areas of Sky Zone Cleveland park operations with emphasis on the four cornerstones.

- Standardizes processes, capabilities, and metrics to meet and exceed key performance indicator (KPI) targets. - Outlines execution plans that support the achievement of the park’s stated financial and operational goals and objectives. - Collaborates with park management team -- monitoring progress against goals, and evaluating results to ensure organizational alignment, focus, and execution in supporting our goals and objectives. - Deploys effective communication plans that ensure excellent implementation.

4. Developing and promoting a work environment that recognizes top performers and team achievements and provides timely and candid direction and coaching to address specific performance gaps as well as opportunities for continued improvement. - Ensures goals are communicated to EVERYONE and targets and results are visible. - Celebrates successes and establishes performance improvement plans when needed. - Effectively directs change management across the park in order to build the best teams and execution plans to drive results.

5. Acts as the primary coach and mentor to members of the park management team - Frequently observes managers and team members performing their role - Provides coaching and development on a regular basis. - Regularly reviews park operating performance against key performance indicators and ensures action plans are in place to address gaps to targets. - Recognizes exceptional performance

6. Performs / delegates (while maintaining accountability) a variety of administrative functions necessary for successful park execution - Supply Management - Recruitment / Hiring / Training and Development - IT Systems Management

7. Partners with Franchise Partner and SLT to set strategic direction for Sky Zone Cleveland - Participate in regular SLT meetings focused on driving improvements in the four cornerstones including key focus areas such as innovation / capital investment, expansion and succession planning. - Collaborate on development of five year strategic plan and annual operating plans (AOP)

Position is On-Site.

Direct accountability for the park leadership team and approximately 30-50 team members

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

A. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferred

B. Minimum of three years of customer-facing leadership experience, five years preferred.

C. Ability to travel on occasion (up to two weeks per year) for training and conferences

D. Ability to work in a fast paced, growth oriented business with flexibility to regularly work a variety of shifts and regularly on weekends.

E. Proven track record of executing plans and delivering results

F. Proven track record of sharing and adopting best practices Experience managing the profit and loss of a business in excess of $1 million.

G. Strong influencing skills - Must be able to help keep team members from straying too far away from overall strategy and direction - Helps to bring people “back on track” when needed - Ability and willingness to explain the “why” behind changes in a way that team members understand and buy-in
